ISIS warns its grassroots about developments in the Middle East.
ISIS is making a critical appeal to its audience that closely follows the war in the Middle East.
ISIS, in issue 540 of its weekly magazine al-Naba, once again made the war launched by the United States and Israel against Iran the subject of its editorial. With an article titled “Revelation, not assumptions and speculation,” it issued a warning to its followers.
In this latest article, ISIS asked its followers to ‘reduce their screen time’ and reminded them that they aren’t “military analysts or political researchers.” It advised them not to spend their time in front of news channels.
ISIS said that there can be mistakes in political and military analysis about global events. It asked its followers not to make mistakes about “where they belong.” In short, it called on them to stay ideologically and mentally aligned with ISIS.
It warned them not to act based on political and military conditions in conflict zones, but to choose their side according to religious principles.
ISIS also said that following global developments and being careful about plans is not the same as getting deeply involved in analysis. It stated that, from a religious point of view, people are not required to do such analysis.
Instead of trying to apply hadiths about the Day of Judgment, ISIS called on people to prepare themselves spiritually and religiously. It asked its followers where they will stand when the ‘final battle’ comes.
The editorial mostly expands on these points in more detail. The reason ISIS wrote such an article is clearly that its audience has been asking questions about the war for the past month and has been following it very closely.
On Telegram, as soon as the war started, pro-ISIS channels focused all their attention on the attacks by the United States and Israel against Iran and Hashd al-Shaabi, as well as political developments in the West and East and breaking news.
Although pro-ISIS Telegram channels made it clear from the beginning that they do not take sides in this war, it seems this situation attracted the attention of the central leadership. There appears to be concern that their base is being influenced by the flow of global events.
